Yet another cake

hazelnut-creamcake

Not as pretty, but it was tasty. I made it to try out a recipe for chocolate genoise cake - it didn't go so well, it was too compact and I felt that it fell together too much when folding in the last ingredients. The cake is covered with a hazelnut cream that was quite delicious. (Praline paste and whipped cream, combined.)

Being you are Swedish you might have heard of aebleskiver. This is a Danish treat that we are promoting here in Solvang California. It is a perfect dish for breakfast, served with the Danish sausage and a nice cup of coffee. You should try it sometime. You can read all about it here: www.aebleskiver.com.
Try it and let me know what you think. As you might gather, I am Danish and live here in Solvang. We had a restaurant here for many years and are now just going around and promoting the specialty.

As we all know, looks aren't everything. ;)

Having said that, I'd say the hazelnut cream looks pretty darn yummy!

(And thanks for posting a comment on mine!)
