A perfect peach

perfekt-persika

This might be the best peach I've had this year. Or any year, possibly. See, it's homegrown. Well, not by me, but by a friend with a greenhouse. I'm pretty impressed - I had no idea you could grow peaches in Sweden. But apparently, it works just fine. It was incredibly flavorful, perfect ripe, and a lot more fuzzy than other peaches I've tried.

Anne, I've just bought some peaches at the market. Not homegrown, but organic so maybe nearly perfect.. I think I'll make peach pie. Since you've already eaten your peach you are welcome to share mine

I am so incredibly inspired by you. I want to be you! Not really, I am terribly allergic to cats. Anyway, I started a feeble little food blog of my on, but I was wondering if you would give me some pointers about how to archive as well as you do. You are fantastic!

African Vanielje - aww, thank you!

Anonymous - not sure of the exact sort, but it was a white peach. Delicious!

Samantha - oooh, thank you, very sweet. :) My drop-down archives is really quite simple, a piece of html stuck in the template. However, they have to be updated manually, which sort of sucks. E-mail me and I'll try to help out! :)

Holler - that's too bad! It seems to be fairly easy to find nice peaches here (all imported though) - I just had a great one for breakfast :)

Now that really is a perfect peach! My first though was actually "gee, that's fuzzy!". I really miss the yellow cling peaches that were so plentiful at home - not sure what their official name is, but I do know you seldom see them over here.

I grew some baby watermelons this year, and I don't even have a greenhouse! Must be great to have a friend who grows peaches!
