When good recipes go bad: Lavender Lace Cookies
Nice, pretty cookies! Right? Well, they are, and they were actually tasty too, but they were not what I had planned.
I was intending to make this recipe for Earl Grey Cookies, just swapping the lavender for the tea. Great idea, or so I thought. I followed the recipe perfectly - after all, I've made those cookies plenty of times. All I changed was the lavender, instead of tea. And somehow, I ended up with lace cookies. Which was nice, but not what I wanted!
Hamlet sure was interested.
Anyway. This was in the summer, I'm thinking the high heat could have had something to do with it, and I'll give it another whirl soon. Wish me luck!

oh, too bad! but if it's any consolation, I think they look great!
don't worry, I’m sure you'll pull it off next time =) good luck!
Hi there!
I was searching some delicious food and then I found this blog.
You really love cooking! I also love it (*゚∀゚人)
I really like your blog and especially the photos. They all look beautiful and delicious. They make me hungry!
I’ve been writing my blog and have some photos of cooking which I made.
Unfortunately, most articles are writing in Japanese…
Anyway, I’d love to try some of your recipes ψ(*´∀`*)ψ
Thank you!
Those lace cookies look beautiful! They must taste great with their lavender flavor...
I find that cookies can become 'lacey' if there is too much liquid or the oven temperature is a little too hot.
Or maybe they were not chilled enough.
I love making lace & so I also like lace cookies.
Hi nice cookies, but I think you meant swapping the Tea for Lavender and not "swapping the lavender for the tea". But I think your cookies look nicer than the original.
