Wagamama has finally opened in Stockholm! This is a great noodle bar resturant that I've been to in London (and they also have locations in many places all over the world) and I've really been waiting for it to come to Stockholm, too. So, we had dinner there last night. And I'm sorry to report that it wasn't that great. Not as good as the ones in London, for sure.
The food was fine, but both my dishes (duck gyozas, shown along with ebi gyozas in the top pic, and yaki soba) were on the dry side, and didn't taste like much. Service was.. well, rushed. I understand the waitress, I really do - there was a line, and we had finished our food - she clearly wanted us to leave. But she could have been a little less obvious about it, perhaps? Anyway. We did leave, and ended the night with coffee and a cookie-on-a-stick at Espresso House instead.

I saw that going in when I was in Stockholm not too long ago... but i'm really disappointed to hear it wasn't very good :(.. I'll be back down there in December with my mom in town.. so maybe they'll clean up their act by then. haha :) ... oh, and i LOVE expresso house :-)

Interesting! I had no idea Wagamama was that global; I'm from Australia and always thought it was unique to Sydney! Guess I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time); I did see a Wagamama cookbook awhile ago so now that I think about it, they must have reached a really broad audience.

It's such a funny name! When I was in London I went to Wagamama and they gave me a pin that said "give PEAS a chance." I'm sorry the experience in Stockholm was not great-- perhaps wait until things calm down and give them a second chance?
My niece and nephew are often addicted to cookies and whenever they come home from school (they're living with me), they would want a piece of M&M covered cookie.

Jag var där och dissar också maten i min blogg. Min kompis i London dissar Wagamama där också. Det finns mkt bättre ställen där, bl a Ta Wan Mein i Greenwich.
I visited Wagamama in Stockholm last night it was a disappointment. I do not like to be rushed when going for my evening meal.
Oskar - synd att de stressade! Vi kände också så, och det är faktiskt inte okej. Hoppas det blir lite lugnare framöver.
Very disappointing meal ...and cannot be compared to the ones in london . I heard it is a franchise and I wonder how much control the chain has .....I'm afraid I would not recommend it .
Har prövat Wagamama nu och jag tycker det var helt ok, ganska gott men kanske ingen favorit.
