Simple food, but classically Swedish. Creamed cauliflower - a simple white sauce with boiled cauliflower - and fried
falukorv, Falu Sausage, with boiled potatoes. It's very much about the balance between sweet and salty.
I was actually served this while in the maternity ward, and liked it so much I had to go home and make it.

Seems like something of a hospital food staple albeit nice :)
Looks very plain, simple & healthy, Anne, but I need to see something green, even if it was just a lettuce leaf. I hope that you are enjoying warmer weather with Titus.
Pene - well, I generally don't really like greens with my main dish, to be honest! I much prefer salad as a starter, or as a whole dish - I'm weird that way. So don't worry too much, I get my vitamins - just not always on the same plate! (I agree that the photo is a bit.. boring, though.)
As for warmer weather, I'd gladly have rain all summer long! I don't really do heat very well...
jag som precis satt och funderade på hur jag skulle tilllaga min blomkål. tack! :)
Looks Healthy i think I'm going to give it a try love your blog...

and if you can visit me I can visit you :)
Have a great Day ~~~
If you want to make it not so healthy you can cream it with actual cream ;). Very nice but well, not your everyday dish perhaps.
This looks so plain and so much like something that came from a hospital kitchen. This truly isnt meant to be a snotty comment - but if this were the first time I ever visited your blog, I would never come back. So - looks like you best be sending a picture of Titus or one of your kitties to keep us all coming back - just not more cauliflower - a personal BLECH for me. It is going to be 90degrees F. here is Portland Oregon this week - and I am like you - would just as soon we have rain!
Take care!
In contrast to Marybeth, I think it´s fun and refreshing that you post simple plain dishes now and then - as a contrast to all the fancy ones that normally occur here.. And yes... Creamed cauliflower is one of my favorites!!! ;)It is hat I call "comfort food" - somehow it makes me feel safe, comforted and calm... I think it´s because I used to get it as a child.. Plain cauliflower with butter and salt on top is also nice!
