Pasta at Vapiano
Vapiano is a German chain restaurant, and I know that doesn't sound very appealing. Bear with me though - because the food is really quite good! They serve salads, pizza and freshly made pasta - and I've only tried the pasta, three times so far. See, they make the pasta on the premises. And they cook it right before your eyes! You go up to a counter with several chefs, order your pasta, and they'll make the dish right then and there. This ensures a really fresh meal, and easily customized, too. The only problem is that it takes a while, and it's usually a fairly long line. They just opened their second location in Stockholm, and I really look forward to trying that. It's a great place for pasta. (Per assures me that the pizza is pretty good too.)

We have that in Vienna, too and I know many people who swear by it, but personally, I think there is the typical self-service disadvantage: it's not very social if you go with a group of people. By the time everyone has got their meal, some have already eaten or, alternatively, let their food get cold waiting for the others to reach the table...
We went to the one in Gamla Stan a few days ago and tried the pizza, which was really good. So good that F went there today again :-)
Onemorehandbag - definitely a point! I wouldn't go with a crowd - I've only been in a pair, or with two girlfriends. Any more than that could definitely be a problem...
Do they have "Death by chocolate" cake in their Stockholm reataurants? It's lovely. And what a perfect name for a chocolate cake! :) Also their teas are excellent.
Cinnamonda - good question! I've never tried their desserts, but I'll keep an eye out for that one :)
