What are you having for dinner on Valentine's Day?

Valentine's Day is coming up, as I'm sure you're well aware. What are your plans? We're staying in (definitely not interested in eating out in this particular night - oh no.) and we haven't really decided on a menu but I'm leaning toward a really nice steak with some kind of salad. Maybe avocado and shrimp as a starter - classic, and light. For dessert... well, I think it'll most likely be chocolate mousse.

We're eating out as usual (we live quite far apart so when we meet we always spend the whole day together) and I don't know if we're going to eat something special for lunch, but I hope I'll find the time to bake a few lemon-flavoured biscuits for him as a present ^^ (he loves everything with lemon). I've never tried to bake alone though! Hope it works!
No chocolate mousse or similar for us this time, we're on a diet :D

I think we'll have foie gras as a starter, salmon for the main dish (I still looking for a new recipe to try) and a strawberry tiramisu to finish. Or maybe a chocolate mousse??

I'm having food ;).
If we are to break it down, i'll be having a small steak tartare, something in between and tiramisu.

We are staying in, too (we have a two and a half year old and a 5 month old) but my DH is making the meal, so so far it will be a surprise!

Sushi! With the husband and granmda (she gets tempura). I couldn't think of a better way to spend the holiday than with my three loves (DH, DG, and sushi!).

We've been having 'heart shaped'themed meals all week -- heart shaped meatloaf (DH's favorite), heart shaped meatballs, heart shaped chocolate (another DH favorite), etc, etc.
But for THE day I am thinking of cooking another DH favorite--glazed ham. Maybe with a heart shaped tart for dessert or a trifle topped with something heart shaped?

We decided to stay home and invite all our single friends over for dinner! Spicy roast chickpeas with drinks, roast cauliflower soup to start; oven baked chicken with chorizo, olives and butter beans; and a nectarine and ginger tarte tatin for pudding :)
