Yesterday was the Nobel Prize Awards, and, umm, no, I was not invited this year. Either. Oh well.
Here's what was served:
Lobster aspic with dill-baked halibut and Kalix bleak roe
Young cockerel with cockerel sausage, accompanied by
almond potato and celery root terrine
Raspberry and blackcurrant parfait on beds of pistachio,
with vanilla ice creamI think the dessert sounds great, but not so much the other two dishes.
Menu for Hope is much better! You can check out all the
Nobel menus here.

"Young Cockrell with Cockrell Sausage" - That's the best laugh I've had this week so far!! :D
I know almond potato is straight translation from the Swedish word but I wonder if fingerling potato is the same thing??
Wendy - totally :)
Anna - yes indeed! They could have done a way better translation, I'm not impressed...
Uppe med tuppen :-))
Så är det när man skriver....
I also wondered how the English-speaking guests controlled their laughter about the cockerel and the cockerel sausage... As you say, not too sure about those first 2 courses...
