Anne's Food in Aftonbladet

Today, my blog is featured in one of Sweden's largest newspapers, Aftonbladet. (Well, in the food & wine section to be exact. And it doesn't seem to be online.) It's a fairly big story, and I had the opportunity to not only talk about myself and my blog, but to give a lot of tips about other sites as well. I'm also in a big picture (which looks positively stupid, since I'm holding a grater in one hand and my computer in the other - but ok.) and another small one of me, typing. With drinks around me. You might like to know that the drinks actually hold juice and strawberry cordial, I promise! (I very rarely blog drunk!)

(Someone scanned the article - you can find it here.)

Anyway. If you're new to this site, I hope you'll feel very, very welcome. Here's how things work. I blog about food, almost every day. Occasionally about other things, but mostly about food. I post recipes 3-4 times a week, and those are available in Swedish too. Just click on the link at the bottom of every recipe post (except for the ones written prior to 2006) and you'll be taken to the Swedish translation. Or if you want to check out my Swedish recipe archive, go here.

Please enjoy yourself! Leave a comment if you feel like it, or drop me an e-mail!

Congratulations on the Aftonbladet feature. I'll have to look for it when I'm in Sweden next week. I've tried several of your recipes and have enjoyed them all. Last night we had the wild mushroom pyttipanna and immediately realized what a good choice it will be for Thanksgiving dinner later this year.
Tack så mycket!
Carol

Anne -

Congratulations. That's great. I'm sorry I don't read Swedish (or have access to an online translation.)

Congratulations!!! I bought a copy on my way home, it was a nice story, with nice pictures but why the grater? :) Thank you for being so nice and giving my page as a tip, now I really have to pull my self together. Btw can I have my copy signed ;)
Congratulations! (again)

Thanks everyone! I certainly don't mean to boost sales for them (not really my choice of daily news!) but it's really fun to be featured like this!

Lena - ha, ha. Sure. A signed copy. Yes. Anytime. And umm, yes, the grater.. and the drinks.. not exactly my idea. :)

Grattis vad kul! :-D

Hi there!
I am a swede who loves food as well and I live in Toronto. I just stumbled upon your blog and I love it. Congrats on the Aftonbladet article! You mentioned in one of your earlier posting that friends had brought you canadian goodies. I am just curious to know what that might be...Can't wait to be in Stockholm later this summer!!!
Please make the weather stay sunny and NO RAIN!

Very fun - congratulations! I have just one question (since I don't read Swedish). Are you the redhead or the brunette in the corner? :-)

TorontoAnna - ooh, I got all kinds of neat things! Lots of maple goodies - maple syrup, maple butter, maple candy.. :) And a bottle of local Ice Wine that I'm serving with the strawberries for midsummer! And then.. let's see, dried cranberries, several bars of chocolate, a very interesting chilli jelly, and I'm probably forgetting more stuff - I stupidly didn't take a picture before digging in and finding good places for everything!

Alanna, ha, ha, very funny. As I'm not Nigella, I'd be the redhead. :)
