Chocolate Covered Coffee Beans

espressochocbeans

Technically, chocolate covered espresso beans, even. I sometimes buy this in candy stores, but it's rather rare to find them. And so easy to make your own. Just take your favorite beans (I like Mauro DeLuxe) and dip in your favorite chocolate. Temper it by all means if you want to be able to touch your beans without them melting, but if you're like me and can't temper chocolate to save your life, don't bother. Just eat the results quickly. And be aware that this has a LOT of caffeine...

I was lying on my bed wide awake once at 3am, wondering why I'm not able to fall asleep. Until I remembered that I had been munching on chocolate covered coffee beans all night:-)
Great idea to make them yourself!

I tried once and failed. Maybe my chocolate wasnt good enough. Must try again cause I realllly like this candy. :-P

I have a friend who wanted to try one. She ran to the bathroom and spitted it out while making angry sounds. *Laughs* Tastes like sand she said.

Pille - haha, yeah, that'd be a problem.. :)

Tiggymon - oh, how annoying! Do try again - I hope it works out! And well, they can be a bit of an acquired taste, I imagine :)

Cornelias mamma - men självklart, vad kul att du gillar bloggen :)
