Swedish Mexican Food

I'm cited in a column in LA Times today! :) The columnist, Gregory Rodriguez, read my post on tacos and called me up for a chat.

You might need to register to read the article, which you can find here.

How spicy do Swedish people like their Mexican food? Isn't it fun seeing your name in print in a newspaper that is printed half-way round the globe?

Pene, it sure is :) And well, I think most stick to mild or medium (which is also fairly mild). But I don't know any statistics on it! :)

Hi Anne,
How fab that you're quoted in the LA Times. We have our version of Mexican food in New Zealand, too. Since living in Los Angeles, I have been made quite clearly aware of how American our interpretation of Mexican food is. I have snapped up a few good Mexican cookery books while living here (the best, surprisingly, written by an anglo from Chicago, Rick Bayless), and a friend of mine recently brought back Mole from Oaxaca for Eric and me. I will let you know how it turns out :-)
Take care.
