I didn't marinate for more than a few hours, but that was excellent. We ate it with rice and a salad with radishes and cucumbers. Delicious!

So glad you like it too! It's now my favourite - easy to make and really delicious. I think your combination worked a treat.
I found that adding a bit of turmeric into rice when cooking it, gives it a nice colour and the whole dish a different look.
