Three-minute Ice Cream

Three minutes. Or maybe less. No machine required. No stirring. And great ice cream. It sounds to good to be true, but it is indeed true.

You'll get perfect silky, dense, creamy ice cream, and it's perfect as a base for different mix-ins. I had some leftover creamy caramel sauce, and some caramelized walnuts, and it turned out to be a really delicious mix. My next batch will probably have raspberries, blueberries and coarsely chopped white chocolate. The base mixture is sweet, so I think something fresh and slightly sour will be a perfect match.

Three-minute Ice Cream
500 ml heavy cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk (about 400 g)
mix-ins, optional

Whisk the cream into soft peaks. Open the can of milk, stir into the cream. Stir in any mix-ins, and pour into a tin. Freeze until completely frozen - 5-6 hours, or overnight.

Noelia - oreos sound like an inspired addition! Lemon zest and lemon curd might also be pretty good :) Or coffee? It'd have to be prepared in advance, but I'm thinking about steeping crushed coffee beans with the heated cream, letting it cool overnight and then whipping it...

Lemon zest and curd sounds like a really gorgeous, tangy option! You could ripple the curd through.

Tora, no crystals! :) I thought about more flavor combinations - maybe a blueberry coulis with vanilla and lemon zest, and then lemon curd??
