Twisted Buns

kanelsnurror-9

I posted about cinnamon buns on my other blog today.

Maybe my very best cinnamon buns, ever. And I've made them into a nice knot-shape as well - it's often seen in bakeries, but it's a bit tricky to do yourself. I tried to photograph the progress, so you can try it, too! I hope you'll like them!

Cinnamon buns are the best! I baked cinnamon buns yesterday and they are so good with a glass of cold milk :)

There's a newish café in Tallinn that sells knutar - huge and delicious. I've been twisting my own knutar at home as well couple of times - a great alternative to traditional cinnamon rolls and the Finnish korvapuustit :)

I love svenska kanelbullar. When I was in Sweden having coffee with bullar with some friends was one of my favorite things. This made me think of one of the episodes of Solsidan when Anna and Alex arrive at the hospital to have their child. The midwife who was still learning Swedish taught me a word I was familiar with... bullfika. Of course she mispronounced it causing Alex to be a bit confused at first. Sorry, off topic.

I love Solsidan - such a funny show :)

Kanelbullar are awesome. I'm happy to have a stash in my freezer, perfect for afternoon fika all summer long.
