Lemon Cheesecake Macarons

I had another macaron class today - well, a class is perhaps overstating things, but I had some friends over to learn how to make macarons. We made two kinds - one with toasted hazelnuts and a chocolate ganache (awesome) and the equally awesome Lemon Cheesecake Macarons I've made before. This time, we shaped them to look like actual lemons - so cute, and so easy. All you need to do is take a toothpick, and as soon as you've piped your rounds, use the tootpick to draw out a little peak on opposite sides of the rounds. Ta-da!

Hello from sunny Oregon on the coast....I made Finnish Rubarb crisp yesterday and dong a finnish sour cream cake today or tomorrow. it is truly summer here now..very nice and warm and no cold wind. even though my cookbook is Finnish cooking, my own relatives in Western Finland have the Swedish tongue and cooking.... They are fairly similar ...Enjoy your summer

Thanks Jenni and Tora!! Midsummer was indeed lovely :)

Kay, so glad to hear from you occasionally :) Sweden and Finland have so much in common, and a sour cream cake sounds lovely. I have lots of rhubarb too, I need to harvest some this week.

LeX - oh, I firmly believe everyone can bake! Or, honestly, almost everyone. Maybe not my former co-worker. He had seriously bad baking mojo :) But anyone but him! (sorry if you're ever reading this T!!)

Will these be available in the shops in Stockholm?:) Macarons are not so easy to find, only a few places sell it. I think its much more popular and easier to find in Asia - Singapore, Malaysia etc

Three-Cookies - yes, they're getting to be popular! Sadly, most places don't make their own, and get frozen pre-made shells. I really recommend the brand Macarong - look for that. They are very well made and super tasty :)
