it is tasty in it's own strange way. but don't get titus used to this...most kids in the US demand this for breakfast, lunch and dinner! hugs, puglette :o)
I know, I know.. it was a special occasion. :) My friend recently brought me two boxes from her US trip, and as I was home alone, this was the perfect time. I do love them, but very, very seldom... they *are* sold here, but for about $6, and I definitely don't think they're worth it.
Well, most kids in America most certainly do not demand this for every meal. I emphasize 'most'...I'm trying to rid the blogosphere, one comment at a time, from the hyperbole that has rendered language virtually (note 'virtually') meaningless. Cheers.
My girlfriend lived in the US for most of her formative years and only moved back to Europe after college... she loves this stuff... I don't mind it. Better than the tinned Heinz stuff we get here. I really don't like that Velveeta stuff though.
I just found your blog today, looking for information on Swedish food which many think of as exotic. I had to laugh when I saw the mac'n cheese. I guess exotic means how many miles the food or recipe travels before being consumed. Though I don't care for the product, I buy three or four boxes at the beginning of winter in case my power goes out and I have to cook on the wood stove for a few days.

Last time I made homemade mac-n-cheese I added food coloring to make it look more like this stuff. I still love it and buy it in bulk.

I'm envious! I haven't had the real thing for a long time.
The sour rats arrived today. They are very good. Thank you again for sending them.
Heh. From Patagonian scallops to Kraft Mac. I love it :)
I have to admit, I get cravings for it every now and again... I'd say it's a "guilty pleasure" but we don't do guilty at our house! :)
I'm American and I grew up loving it... It was usually served when it was Dad's turn to cook. ;)
