A weird semla, and an article
Me, Dagmar and Lena are in the newspaper! (Svd Min Helg.) We were asked to create a menu for the Women's Day tomorrow, and that was a lot of fun. The recipes are also on Tasteline, along with interviews. Sorry though - just in Swedish! But at least you can enjoy the photos... I'll post my own photos from the shoot when I'm back home, I'm at a conference this weekend.
Oh, and the weird semla above? It's a "kanelbullesemla", or in other words, a cinnamon bun that's been opened up and filled with almond paste and whipped cream. It sounds weird, it was weird, but it was also really, really tasty. As much as I hate to admit it...

Congrats, Anne! Oh and that semla does sound good :)!
i made a grammar error in the first post so i deleted it...
...now for the corrected version!
cardamom-/cinnamon-scented buns, marzipan...YUM!! the semla picture you posted in January and then this one are making my mouth water. Do you by any chance have a good recipe for semla? i'd love to try and make some!
Ehva, tack :)
Shelly, thank you! :)
Mithu - I don't, because I've never made them myself. However, Dagmar does have a good one, so check this out: http://www.acatinthekitchen.com/?p=126
I can't read or speak in Swedish, but I like the photo. Oh, and I caught "American Kraft macaroni and cheese". That goes across all language barriers. ;-)
Yum! This sounds a lot like a French Croissant aux amandes but looks so much better! I would love to try one of these!
I've never heard of a semla before, but that looks and sounds fabulous! I'm definitely going to check out the recipe link you provided.
Was your cinnamon bun part of the menu?
Takeaway - oh no, that's at a café. I'll post the full menu with recipes soon, I have some behind-the-scenese photos too :)
