She really did have a tough time, so I kept her on my lap for the entire trip and she was fine. But as soon as I tried to put her back in the carrier, she started to drool - poor little one! She's perfectly fine now though :)
Yes, cats' sense of balance is thrown off when they are in a car. The inner ear business. She looks like she is not sure what is going on. But a beautiful kitten! Thanks for posting.:)
Rebecca - they do make something similar, but apparently it can have some pretty bad side effects so it's much of a last resort. This is definitely the first time I'd had a problem with one of the cats, the rest are completely unbothered.
There is a homeopathic remedy, Calms Forte, which is pretty effective and safe to use med en liten katt.
Also, Feliway can be sprayed into the carrier. Klara can also be more calm if she is in a carrier draped with a sheet so she doesn't have all the visual input from the world whizzing by...
Hydrodols, (NOT the actual essential oil which is toxic, potentially lethal for cats) of Lavender or Chamomile can be used as well.

Awww poor kitty! I had to drive my new kitten home 4 hours across the state. He didn't like it but luckily he didn't get sick.
