Weekend Cat Blogging: finally, some names!
Ok, we finally decided. I proudly present Kellycats Klara Kristall and Kitty Karat! (Quite obviously Kristall means Crystal, and Karat - well, you should recognize that one easily. We thought it fit their colors perfectly!) Kitty is already booked, and Klara is still for sale. They're not eating on their own just yet, but they use the litter box! Both are so friendly and cuddly, with a strong purr. It'll be hard to let these ones move out! Good thing there's still eight more weeks...
Klara, busy killing her octopus
One of my favorite photos ever, Kelly with Kitty.

I can see why that's your favourite photo - it's lovely!! Nice to see Mummy Kat and Kitty Kat snuggle up together!
you won't keep one?
Totally the wrong thing to say, Jessika. I'm quite tempted... Klara is a real beauty, she's looking very promising.. and she's so sweet. But the general idea is to sell both of them. Hopefully the right person will show up :)
So CUTE! I like the names! If you kept Klara how many kitties would you have?
right ;), message received ;). I know I asked if you would keep one... perhaps the situation would have been different had it not ended tragically with the two kitty boys.
Jelly, it'd be five so not a huge problem really. We feel that we are at least one cat short since Edith died last year, but we're aiming to keep kittens after Glinda and her sister Gisele (who lives with my aunt) for further breeding.... And we can't have SEVEN! :) We'll see.
Jessika, that's totally right.. if things had gone differently here. As it is, I'm not sure I want to use any girl after Kelly for breeding.. then again, she's a wonderful mom, she just had a tough time at first.
Just adorable!
I kep trying to come up with some suggestions for names . . . and all I could ever get for the little white kitty was "puff and or "poof". She just looks like a little puff that is going to blow away. i just love the names you decided on. Is the little white one going to get darker tips?
By far the cutest kitty cat picture ever! Mom and baby...Love the names too.
mb - yes, she's technically a shaded silver or possibly a chinchilla, which means that she has black tipping on every hair. She looks nearly white in the photos (and in real life too) but she isn't :) She's a bit sturdier than you'd think too! :)
They're absolutely adorable! I love the pictures... just showed them to A., & we were staring at them for ages... such beautiful creatures, little kittens are. Glad to hear they're doing so well, you've done a great job (and great practice for feeding a newborn around the clock hi hi hi!!!)
Lots of hugs from sunny, summery london
Cassandra
these kittens are unbearably cute.
Oh Anne! How can you ever ever say goodbye to those two?!? I don't think I've ever seen anything more adorable, and that last pic is a stunner. I'm just catching up with a ton of your posts now - very sad to hear about the little boy kittens.
Don't know if you saw the pics on my blog, but when we were on holiday in Chamonix, there was a semi-feral mom living behind the house with her 3 kittens (probably about 6-8 weeks - still suckling but also eating solid food. She was grey and vaguely Oriental and the dad must have been a sealpoint Siamese - in fact, I saw him lurking at a house about a block from us!! Absentee father :o) Anyay, we'd feed them and then 5 minutes after they'd eaten all the kittens wanted to suckle. The mom's expression was just priceless - half contentment, half exasperated "can you see what little bloodsuckers I have to put up with?". It must be a hard being a kitty-mom. It was all I coudl do to stop myself from kidnapping the kittens and bringing them to live with us in the UK...
Jag tänker minsann fortsätta kalla dem Kaffe och Kaka. ;D
*sitter och väntar på att Mira ska sova klart*
