Läkerol Wild Strawberry/Mint

smultronmintlakerol

Läkerol makes sugar-free candy. Or not really candy, but throat lozenges, really. Although some of the flavors are really guilt-free candy - my favorite is violet and salty licorice. (Yes, combined!) They recently launched the two-tone candies ("Split!") in the picture - first, three flavors with half licorice, half berry (raspberry, lingonberry and cloudberry) and now, two flavors with half mint, half fruit. The ones I've tried? Mint and Wild Strawberry. (I think the other one had blood orange - not completely sure, I haven't seen it in many stores yet.) Anyway - it works a lot better than I'd expected. The mint is mild, providing more of a background to the vibrant wild strawberry flavor. Tasty! Oh, and I did mention they're guilt-free, right?

How funny, I bought a bag of wild strawberry/mint on my way to work this morning. They're actually quite nice!

Does "sugar free" mean with aspartame? I hate the taste of that stuff :(

Still, they look very pretty!

Scott, they definitely have some kind of artificial sweetener in them. I'm not sure which one though (I ate all of mine!) but it might very well be aspartame. I think I'm lucky in that respect, I don't taste it at all.

How to funny to see this post now! I just bought a bag og raspberry/licorice today, quite yummy. Wish they sold cloudberry here, but there's probably not that large of a market for it.

I thought you didn't like licorice?!

Jennie, oh no, I'm quite the licorice fan. I especially like the salty kinds though, and I'm pretty picky.. :)
