Today, a poem

plommon

This Is Just To Say

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast.

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold.

-- William Carlos Williams

I love this little poem. And I love my gorgeous plums.

Käkade plommon ugnsbakade med farinsocker hos morsan i söndags. Det var intensivt gott! Men kanske lite väl sött. Mammor. :D

Ah, I've been looking at my plums wondering what to do with them and thinking just this - So I have, eaten them! What a beautiful poem and lovely picture. This post made me smile. Thank you.

beautiful picture and a really nice way to make the food even more beautiful using a poem!

Loving food and literature, I have to say that this is certainly one of my favorite WCW poems. Love the picture too...Do you enjoy living in Stockholm (I was just there this July)?
Thanks!
