Foodie Gifts: Gourmet Cookbook

My darling knows just what I wanted for christmas, and presented me with this huge book on Christmas morning. I've only read the first hundred pages or so - but I absolutely love it, and I know there are tons of things I want to try here! What a fun book! I've already made a lovely tomato sauce for gnocchi, and I tried the pizza dough, too.

What a perfect present for such a gourmet as yourself. :) I'd be envious but I'm still wending my way through my giant cookbook from Christmas. I can't wait to see what this cookbook inspires in you.
I've got a question... what would a gourmet like you use cloudberry sauce on? I got some from IKEA and I'm dying to know what is the best you know to indulge in such a treat.

Oh, Cloudberry sauce! There's one very best use for it - over vanilla ice cream. Heat it up in a small saucepan and pour it over good quality ice cream, and you're done. Easy, simple - but really, the best.

Another way to eat it is with fried camembert cheese - but I don't know if that's something readily available. It was very popular here in the 70's, and is still sold, frozen little breaded patties of cheese.. good with the cloudberries indeed!

A third way would be to eat it with cheese, in general - it goes very well with other strong flavors! But do try it on ice cream first. :)

Thanks for the tips, Ann! I'll do my best to find these now or I'll just darn well have to wait until I get the good stuff!
