Bacon Pesto Linguini

Ta-da! First thing I made and served on my new plates! This is so ridiculously easy I barely dare call it a recipe - but it's also so delicious and exactly what I want after a long day. It's really tasty - and if you don't have any cream cheese on hand, just add a little splash of cream. Even low-fat is fine. And you can omit the bacon. Just the linguini with creamy pesto is fine. Anything goes!

Bacon Pesto Linguini
Serves 2

-Your favorite linguini, cooked according to the instructions on the packet. We always use a whole-grain linguini from Kungsornen, it's definitey my favorite.
-2 tbsp ready-made pesto (or by all means, make your own)
-2 tbsp Philadelphia cream cheese
-100 g bacon, diced and fried until crispy

Yeah, so, just cook the pasta, drain, stir in the pesto, stir in the cream cheese, stir in the bacon. And that's it.

And for some housekeeping - I had to turn on the word verification thingie in the comments. Sorry about that for all you legit commenters. I hope it will help against comment spam though, because that is just SO annoying.

ahhhhhh.....I love that line. So cool and modern! Your linguini looks great in the New Wave. Did you get the 'gourmet' plate too?

Melissa - no, just this one and the Grill Plate. I like the Gourmet too, but Per isn't crazy about it. More importantly though, cupboards won't fit more plates. Or cups - or I'd be all over those gorgeous coffee cups. Sigh.

That linguini sounds sooooo good! And I just love your new plates. Call me a purist (or boring), but I think white dishes really do show off the food the best.

I love the plates. They have something similar at a restaurant we sometimes go to. food sounds good too, of course, that goes without saying...

First timer on your blog. Was wondering if one can combine bacon and pesto - more accurately was trying to convince my husband that it should be good - happened to get on your blog, with that recipe. Am trying it out tonight with guests. Hope it's good!! ;)
Your blog is beautiful by the way!
