Every year, the stores try to predict what this year's christmas gift will be. One strong contender this year is the coffee machine, the ones that uses pods. I have a
Nespresso at home, and a
Nescafé Dolce Gusto at work, and I have to say I do like both very much. (Other brands include
Tassimo,
Café Martello and
Lavazza Amodo Mio.)
What's your opinion? Do you like these? Any one in particular? And do you think they make good christmas gifts?
I think coffee pad/capsule machines are make good christmas presents - if you can account for the fact that your loved ones will be temporary addicted to coffee ;)
ReplyDeleteI got a Senseo machine for my boyfriend's birthday and he loves it.
Don't know about the range in other countries, but here in Germany, pad machines offer a greater variety of coffee than capsules.
Still I'd say - perfect christmas present!*
happy holidays everyone!
M, my live-in boyfriend, wants one but I'm/we are having trouble deciding which machine to get. He drinks Lavazza coffee but we've looked at Nespresso and Tassimo but what is the actual difference? The capsules and flaovur range?
ReplyDeleteI was given my nespresso machine 3 years ago as a Christmas present from my parents and have used it every single day since....love my morning nespresso!!!!!! Kate
ReplyDeletei'm not a coffee drinker. but, did get my parents one as a gift. they love it. mainly, the 1 cup brewing part.
ReplyDeleteJag skulle hellre ha en riktig liten emaljerad och kromad italienare som gör riktigt kaffe, jag... men som budget- och smakalternativ är de kanonbra!
ReplyDeleteI got my Nespresso Latissima as a Christmas present from my parents when I moved into my new home.
ReplyDeleteI really love it!
just came across your blog via search engine searching for a swedish recipe :) and enjoying my visit here !
ReplyDeletei have the new dolce gusto (as featured on the photo) and love it +++ i had it on mother's day ( on my request) because i'm a latte lover (an habit I caught in Stockholm two years ago !!)
My parents are hard coffee drinker! This machine would be a totally wonderful present for them!
ReplyDeleteOoh! That's a wonderful gadget. Not only does it make coffee making easy but it's stylish, as well.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone here have issues with the waste these capsules produce??? At least with my old-school stovetop coffeemaker all i end up with is used coffee powder and my basil loves it!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the problem of the capsule. Every time we drink a coffe do we have to waste so much alluminium ? It is also extremely expensive to buy the capsules!
