Fresita - this summer will be delicious

Fresita

I got a small bottle of Fresita yesterday. It's sparkling wine - infused with strawberries. Real strawberries. It sounds really weird, but oh - it was delicious. It'll be sold in Sweden from March, and I for one will stock up. I can see myself sipping this in the sun, waiting for someone else to make me dinner... Perfection.

  4. Oohh that looks pretty good. I just love strawberries and they're in season in California. I'd love to infuse some of that wine in my stomach! Anne! I love your food blog and I just randomly came along it! I'm going to start subscribing :)

Thank you for your entertaining words!

  8. I was *this close* to buying something fruity and sparkly in the wine section yesterday...but thought I was probably jumping the gun since there is plenty of snow and cold still here in Chicago. I guess all of us in the northern hemisphere are ready for Spring!

  9. Is this available in the States? I wonder...I'll have to go check. Is it very sweet or more strawberry than sweet? Anything berry sounds particularly yummy this time of year. The other day I paid $5 for a very, very small container of raspberries. Absolutely worth it!

  10. Maria - unfortunately, that I don't know. It's definitely much more strawberry than sweet! Sweet-ish - or at least sweeter than straight up wine, but it really seems to come from the berries. I found it quite natural-tasting.
