It worked beautifully. Thank you for sharing this, and other mouthwatering recipes!KARLAVAGNENhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04438850477141876575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8814165.post-40590026507004963102010-08-09T02:24:18.000+02:002010-08-09T02:24:18.000+02:00I just made the orange sweet and sour sauce to ser...I just made the orange sweet and sour sauce to serve over rice and sauteed tofu. I also feel it is at its best served spicy. This recipe (which suggests flank steak or sirloin) sounds really good to me though the picture is not nearly so lovely as yours!

http://chinesefood.about.com/od/szechuanmeatrecipes/r/szechuanbeef.htmDebbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05028574555363756465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8814165.post-42251971402409526772010-08-03T21:30:51.624+02:002010-08-03T21:30:51.624+02:00Concentrated orange juice - often sold frozen in t...Concentrated orange juice - often sold frozen in the US, and in small packets here...

Thanks for the tip on beef! Flank steak is very rarely sold here (isn't it strange how much cuts vary?) but I'll try another cut! I'm sure it will be delicious!Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18224478760304481724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8814165.post-41289937071964964182010-08-03T17:17:34.905+02:002010-08-03T17:17:34.905+02:00This looks very yummy! It's harder to get good veal in the US than in Europe, probably because of the economy of raising meat.

I've usually had this dish made with the American cut called flank steak, a tasty but fairly fibrous cut often grilled and sliced across the grain (delicious for barbecue). The fried pieces of beef have a nice chewy texture and the flavor of beef stands up better to the assertive seasoning (this dish usually includes hot chilis). Do try it with beef sometime -- you might find that the dish has a better balance.

SusanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8814165.post-90852123705782792552010-08-03T17:14:42.290+02:002010-08-03T17:14:42.290+02:00*definitely*
